Following the resounding success of their 2024 UK tour, which included a sold-out performance at London’s prestigious Cadogan Hall, The Van Morrison Alumni Band is set to celebrate Sir Van Morrison’s extraordinary song writing legacy with a 2025 UK tour this autumn.

The tour coincides with the year of Sir Van’s 80th birthday, and will honour one of the most influential and iconic musicians and songwriters of all time. The UK tour kicks off with a previously announced show at London’s Adelphi Theatre on 30th September 2025, before touring the country throughout October and November.

Curated and hosted by renowned saxophonist, broadcaster, and long-time Van collaborator Leo Green, the tour promises to be a masterclass in musical excellence. Green, who has performed on seven of Van Morrison’s albums and toured with him around the globe, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the music that will resonate with both lifelong fans and new listeners alike. The project carries Sir Van Morrison’s personal endorsement, underscoring its authenticity and significance. Reflecting on this project, Sir Van shared: “These songs are meant to be sung and heard, and I am really happy that Leo is carrying the torch"

Leo Green: “I have been truly humbled by the reaction to this project-it was such an honour for us to present these incredible songs to audiences around the UK in 2024 and I have already started planning what will be on the set-list for 2025, which marks 30 years since we recorded the “Days Like This” album with Van – we will definitely be featuring some of the songs from that incredible album!”

With Leo’s accompanying commentary, audiences are taken into the studio and on the road with Van Morrison-this unique concert promises an unforgettable evening, showcasing the timeless music and poetic words that have cemented Sir Van Morrison's place in musical history.

Audiences can look forward to hearing beloved classics from his vast repertoire of 50 albums, including enduring hits like Brown Eyed Girl, Moondance, Days Like This, and Into the Mystic, as well as selections from one of the most remarkable catalogues in music.

The Van Morrison Alumni Band stands out as a remarkable ensemble, composed of musicians who, collectively, have shared the stage with Sir Van for thousands of concerts and contributed to the creation of some of his most celebrated albums. Their intimate connection to the music ensures an authentic and powerful performance that captures the essence of Sir Van’s artistry.

The Van Morrison Alumni Band is a group of all-star musicians, who have between them accompanied Van Morrison in more than 2500 concerts around the world and have amassed more than 500 recording credits on the singer’s albums dating back several decades and include: Leo Green (Sax), Matt Holland (Trumpet), Alec Dankworth (Bass), Robin Aspland (Piano), Geoff Dunn (Drums) and will be joined by: Gary Baldwin (Hammond), Matt White (Guitar) & Jo Harman (Vocals)
